Skyland
The Skyland developement is located on the South East shore of Lake Tahoe. There are 245 homes in this lakefront subdivision. Skyland has a private beach for all property owners. This unique developement borders National Forest; offering hiking and biking trails as well as hidden beaches, perfect for a relaxing year round outdoor experience. Many homes are lakefront or lakeview, some even have a private boat dock and beach. The Nevada schools, (Zepher Cove Elementary School and George Whittel High School) are less than 1/2 mile away. Skyland also has a GID (General improvement district) made up of elected homeowners that is funded by advalorem taxes collected by Douglas County. The GID’s purpose is to govern paving, snow plowing, maintenance of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, storm run off, and the fence along highway 50.
